The Way of the Creek

On our most recent trip to Tahoe, I realized how much I have enjoyed creeks over my life time. I have nothing against rivers, lakes, and oceans but there is something about a meandering bubbling creek. Stick floating, dam building, rock throwing, insect collecting, are all great creek activities. There is always a hobbit hole, watercress to eat, and underwater caverns to explore. I guess I am partial to the Sierra meadow type creek. You know the one I am talking about that snakes its way through a meadow and sometimes is cut 2 feet into the earth.

It is so exciting to be able to show Luc the ways of the creek. Here are some photos of past creek adventures from young Luc (2008 and 2010).
